Tin Wilke (they/he) is an undisciplinary artist, filmmaker and community activist from East Berlin who explores the constructions of cooperative and dissident practices within the politics of archiving and collective memories. Working mainly collaboratively at the intersection of digital new media, organic material and found footage within installations, performances, stages and experimental films, they create speculative counter narratives and sensual experiences.
Tin´s formation is strongly influenced by the thinking and practice of the South, where Tin studied the master Theatre with New Media and Interactivity at the Universidad Nacional de las Artes (UNA) in Buenos Aires. In Berlin they graduated from art and media at the Berlin University of the Arts (UdK). In 2022/23 Tin was fellow of the Human Machine Fellowship at Akademie der Künste (AdK) including an artist residency at E-Werk Luckenwalde as well as an autumn school and final exhibition at the Adk in Berlin. Wilke forms part of the queer performance collective CC_Lab and is a board member of the association for social-ecological change (VSOW e.V.) as well as a member of the Mkv Berlin Media Art Association (medienkunst e.V.).
